Tony Vecchio has nearly 30 years of experience in the proxy solicitation business, during which time he has provided advice and insight to companies involved in mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, right offerings, equity exchange and tender offers for corporate and municipal debt. He also advises corporations on solicitation strategies for non-routine annual meetings and corporate governance issues. Over the years, corporations have sought his expertise in providing analyses of executive compensation matters as well as preparing shareholder composition, vote projections and institutional shareholder contact lists.

Prior to joining Okapi Partners, Tony was an account executive at Georgeson Inc., rising to the level of Managing Director in 1998. During his tenure, he worked on numerous proxy contests and merger transactions including PeopleSoft Inc. vs. Oracle Corporation, Wachovia Corporation vs. SunTrust, Wachovia Corporation and Wells Fargo & Company, Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold and McMoran Exploration, Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and Spansion Inc.
