December 13, 2017 Okapi Partners Ranked as Top Proxy Solicitor by Activist Insight

Okapi Partners LLC, a leading proxy solicitation and investor response firm for corporations and institutional investors, has been recognized as the top proxy solicitor by Activist Insight magazine for the second year in a row. The firm represented both issuers and activists in 26 campaigns in 2017 in what was one of Okapi’s most successful years since its founding in 2008, according to Activist Insight.

Okapi advised activist investors in 17 campaigns this year, which was more than the next three proxy solicitors cited in Activist Insight’s 2017 Intermediary Awards combined. The firm also defended 9 issuers against activist investors during the year. Activist Insight noted Okapi’s largest campaign of 2017 involved its client, Elliott Management, in a proxy contest against Arconic.
