With over 40 years of experience in proxy solicitation, Tony Vecchio is one of the most seasoned practitioners in the industry. He advises companies on the full range of investor response situations – including mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, rights offerings, equity exchange and tender offers, and matters involving corporate and municipal debt. Tony also counsels corporations on non-routine annual meeting strategy, corporate governance issues, and shareholder engagement. Over the years, corporations have sought his expertise in providing analyses of executive compensation, stock incentive plans and as well as shareholder proposals.

Before joining Okapi Partners in 2014, Tony spent nearly 30 years at Georgeson Inc., where he rose from account executive to Managing Director in 1998. During his long tenure at Georgeson, he worked on a wide range of high profile proxy contests and mergers – transactions that span industries and deal types and reflect the breadth of his transactional experience.
