Bio

With more than thirty years of experience in proxy solicitation and investor response, Jon Einsidler brings a rare combination of deep institutional relationships and transactional expertise to Okapi Partners. He specializes in proxy fights, mergers, tender offers, and corporate actions, with particular strength in navigating the complexities of corporate shareholdings and engaging the full spectrum of institutional investors – including hedge funds, pension funds, and mutual funds.

Jon's track record includes work on some of the largest and most consequential hostile takeovers and consent solicitations in history, among them Paramount-Warner Brothers, Elliot-Toyota Industries, and the Bristol Myers CVRs. His ability to gather intelligence from investors and develop outreach strategies has proven decisive in
shaping effective takeover defenses and M&A campaign execution for clients. His deep ties to the hedge fund community are a particular asset in merger, tender offer, and activist situations where speed and relationship access matter most.

Prior to joining Okapi in 2014, Jon spent more than fourteen years at Georgeson as a Senior Managing Director – where he also founded Georgeson Securities Corporation — followed by three years as a founding partner of AST Phoenix Advisors and three years as a partner at Laurel Hill Advisory Group, where he founded Laurel Hill Securities.

Before his career in proxy solicitation, Jon spent twelve years as an investment banker, most notably at EuroPartners Securities Corporation – owned by Credit Lyonnais, Commerzbank, Banco di Roma, and Bank Leu – where he served as Vice President and head of Corporate Finance.

Jon holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.A. with a concentration in mathematics and economics from Dartmouth College.
