Shaun Reel is Vice President at Okapi Partners specializing in corporate governance and shareholder activism. Shaun has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of proxy solicitation, including contests, M&A transactions, SPAC deals and tender offers. He is an expert in investor identification of securities (both equity and debt) and has worked on several notable solicitations including Procter & Gamble against Trian and Mantle Ridge L.P. against CSX Corporation.

More recently, he has been intimately involved with Global Blue AG in its combination with Far Point Acquisition Co. (a Special Purpose Acquisition Company) to bring the transaction to successful closure. Shaun frequently works with clients of the Okapi Market Intelligence Group to identify and aid in communication with their investors. Prior to joining Okapi Partners, Shaun spent 20 years at D.F. King & Co. in the institutional strategic division. He holds a BBA in Finance & Economics from Baruch College.
