Edgar Freitas is a Vice President at Okapi Partners LLC, within the firm’s Market Intelligence Group. He advises corporate clients on shareholder ownership trends / implications, activist defense and investor targeting.

In addition to standard surveillance for several S&P 500 companies across multiple sectors, Edgar has advised on high-profile activism campaigns for BlackRock closed-end-funds, as well as several well-known corporate campaigns.  Edgar has also monitored shareholder activity in M&A transactions, recently involving GMS and Home Depot.

Before joining Okapi Partners, Edgar was an Associate Director at Q4 Inc. on their Stock Surveillance and Investor Relations Advisory Team, where he spent 5 years.

He holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University.
