Walter Schuplak is a Managing Director and head of Okapi Market Intelligence Group LLC, the firm’s market surveillance and shareholder identification platform. Walt brings several decades of experience analyzing and understanding and complex changes in corporate shareholder composition.  Prior to becoming part of Okapi Partners in 2018, Walt founded and led Market Intelligence Group LLC (MIG) for 17 years specializing in Stock Surveillance, Shareholder Identification and Institutional Targeting serving hundreds of corporate clients.

Over his 35 years in the business, Walt held senior management positions with Morrow & Co., Georgeson & Co., D. F King¸ Kissel Blake and Citigate Dewe Rogerson where he assisted corporations with shareholder intelligence and proxy solicitation for both routine and corporate control assignments.

Walt holds a B.S. degree from St. Peter’s University.
