Alexander brings broad proxy solicitation and investor response expertise to senior team
New York, September 19, 2016 – Okapi Partners LLC, a leading proxy solicitation and investor response firm that advises corporations, institutional investors and mutual fund companies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason W. Alexander as Managing Director. Mr. Alexander will focus on the firm’s corporate clients and their investor response campaigns. Mr. Alexander’s appointment further enhances Okapi Partner’s expertise in shareholder response campaigns including mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, annual meetings and activist engagement situations.
Prior to joining Okapi Partners, Mr. Alexander spent over 18 years at Georgeson, where he worked on transactions involving more than 400 domestic, multinational and Canadian companies across all business sectors.

Mr. Alexander has more than 20 years of experience consulting with companies on matters that require shareholder approval. He specializes in proxy solicitation, mergers and acquisitions advice and corporate governance consulting, with expertise in corporate and board-related matters for domestic, Canadian and multinational companies. Mr. Alexander is a frequent speaker on corporate governance and shareholder activism at a variety of conferences and industry organizations. In addition, he is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Society for Corporate Governance Professionals. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
