Christian Jacques is a Vice President at Okapi Partners, working with both the New York and London offices, where he specializes in complex Mergers & Acquisitions, SPACs, Proxy Fights, and other Event-Driven situations. Christian advises and represents corporations, hedge funds, shareholder activists, and other investors through strategic proxy solicitation and investor response campaigns for Annual/Special Meetings and contested solicitations.
Christian has strategized campaigns where public and/or private shareholder engagement was crucial to a successful transaction. Additionally, he works closely with the Okapi Market Intelligence Group to provide clients with timely and actionable information on shareholder identification and trading analysis. Christian has formed valuable relationships in the hedge fund and arbitrage communities through his work on mergers, tender offers, and activist campaigns, and he is passionate about delivering high-quality service to our clients while staying abreast of the industry’s latest trends and developments.
Christian is an active member of the Council of Institutional Investors (CII), and the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN). Christian is a current member of the Signature Theatre of New York’s Groundbreakers, a giving program for emerging philanthropists. In 2024, Christian became a member of ForbesBLK. And was previously a member of the National Association of Black Compliance & Risk Management Professionals, Inc. (NABCRMP)
Christian earned a Master of Studies in Law (M.S.L) from Fordham University School of Law. He also received a B.A in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Cortland.
